Liked the new Salvation army store. Great set up. Nice furniture. Decently priced
There has been quite a shift of the stores in this plaza. With long time stores moving out. Happy to report new stores are coming in and breathing life into this easy access strip mall.
This was an Plaza that back in the Day had names like Gimbals and JCPennys. They have random stores and not very appealing to most. With that said National Discount had some fun things for cheap...Joanne Fabrics is always needed at some point in your life but they need to update and get better stores!
The plaza itself has been half dead for more than two decades with a variety of stores coming and going at intervals. Its a much wasted space serving as an empty busted up parking lot for the most part. The biggest disappointment was when Merchandise Outlet left. The only constant stores i know of are joann fabrics and the restraunt on the end. Any new places opened in the last couple years i wouldn't count on sticking around. Its unfortunate because its a good location with exposure to a lot of potential foot traffic.
Stopped at Castillo's restaurant, they used to be on 76th and Cold Spring Road, and moved a number of years ago to Packard Plaza, since they moved we stop in a couple of times a year, usually for breakfast, good food, large selection, large portions, and great staff & owners.
